Hey! I'm Shannon, wife, mama of two beautiful children, and a lifestyle photographer serving families in Southeast Idaho and Northern Utah.
I've always loved taking photos. When I was younger I would round up my younger siblings. Take them by the haystacks or lilac bushes for little photoshoots. Back then is was just for fun. I never would have imagined it would become such a big part of my life.
It wasn't until I had my own children that I really understood how quickly time moves. One day your rocking a newborn in the middle of the night, and the next thing you know they are toddling around the house. Photography is a way of holding on to those moments. And a way to honor them as well.
Whether I'm photographing a quiet newborn session, a maternity session in the mountains , or a family session, my goal is to always document what's real. The love, the connection, the ordinary moments that matter more than we realize.
I don't use a lot of props during sessions. I work mostly with natural light and a calm simple approach. I believe the most meaningful photos are the ones who reflect who you truly are, at home in your space, with your people.
